Somerset 2015

As most of you will have seen on my social media, last weekend we stayed in a beautiful treehouse in Somerset...

The treehouse was stunning, cosy and set in the most magical surroundings. It was surrounded by trees with birds singing all day long and a little stream trickling by.

When we first walked up the path, the birds were tweeting and white blossom petals were falling from the trees, like springtime snow.

The Old Mill Treehouse is a B&B set in an lovely country village called Norton St Philip. The village has a gorgeous old pub called The George Inn with huge roaring fires to settle down in with a nice glass of wine. The perfect retreat from busy Brighton.

The owners of the treehouse bring you breakfast in a lovely picnic hamper each morning. I contacted them beforehand to see if they could accommodate a gluten free breakfast for me which the kindly did.

I had croissants, fruit, yogurts, muffins, juice and coffee - it was perfect for me. The perfect breakfast in bed in the most peaceful setting.

For our dinners we went into Bath which isn't far away. We tried Giraffe the first night, which I didn't find particularly impressive, but had delicious tapas in La Tasca the next night.

It's quite hard making a lunches without a kitchen but I made up this super easy, delicious and gluten free lunch to enjoy on the balcony.

Old Mill Treehouse is one of the most idyllic and peaceful places I have ever stayed at so I hope to go back one day soon.

If you want to visit, visit this website. But make sure you contact the owners beforehand regarding gluten free breakfasts.
