I think Duck & Waffle has got to be one of my favourite London restaurants so far...
Located on the 40th floor of the Heron Tower, one of London's tallest buildings, the views across London are spectacular.
They are open 24 hours a day and with floor to ceiling windows you can enjoy the views at any time of day. The restaurant has a bustling, happy atmosphere and the staff are really helpful too.
The bar is fantastic too. The decor is beautiful; I am obsessed with the blue and white tiled floors. Its a great spot for a mocktail looking out across London.
While they don't have a gluten free labelled menu, there are plenty of naturally gluten free options - you just need to ask the staff. They were very knowledgeable and could tell me everything that was gluten free on the menu. In fact, most of the menu is gluten free, there were only a few things that I couldn't have. There is a 'gluten conscious' section on their website that you can check out before visiting.
I have been a couple of times and always have the signature duck and waffle. They do a gluten free version and is the best dish ever, I love it. I also recommend the cauliflower and red onion pakora.
I would recommend anyone go there for the views alone but the service (especially for my gluten free needs), the ambiance and the food was wonderful too. My whole family went for my Dad's 70th birthday and we honestly had the best time.
