Delicious & Gluten Free in Sweden

Sweden was my last trip before Covid changed the world forever...

It was an amazing trip and I went with one of my besties for my birthday. It was such a unique trip because we explored not only Gothenburg, but the surrounding Archipelagos surrounding it.

There are loads of Archipelago islands and we visited a couple of them. We just jumped on the ferry and it dropped us off. They are so peaceful and beautiful.

They are so cute and something you wouldn't get to see on other city breaks, so I really recommend Gothenburg if you want something a bit different.

We did, however, nearly get stranded on one of the islands so make sure you research each island and the ferry times. We did get stuck on an island for about 2 hours, and there were no people around, which was eery, but it was an experience that I wouldn't change.

Food wise, we had an Airbnb so we ate in for most of the trip. I packed some gluten free pasta but it turns out I didn't need to. The supermarkets had a great selection of gluten free products. I even brought back a few things that I hadn't seen in the UK before.

We picked up some fresh prawns from the fish market and had a pasta and prawn feast - thanks to my lovely friend who did all the cooking!

The fish market was in a pretty cool old building that looked like a church, check it out here. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the market for some fresh fish.

Have you been to Sweden?
